By the decision of the General Assembly of Judges and Prosecutors dated
06.05.2026, the Regional Court of Appeal of Malatya has been established. The
Regional Court of Appeal of Malatya is scheduled to become operational on 01.09.2026.
The judicial
jurisdiction of the Regional Court of Appeal of Malatya has been determined by
the General Assembly of Judges and Prosecutors. Accordingly, the jurisdiction
of the Regional Court of Appeal of Malatya will cover the following provinces:
- Malatya
- Adıyaman
- Elazığ
- Tunceli
Following this decision, Adıyaman and Malatya have been removed from the
jurisdiction of the Regional Court of Appeal of Gaziantep, and Elazığ has been
removed from the jurisdiction of the Regional Court of Appeal of Diyarbakır,
and Tunceli has been removed from the jurisdiction of the Regional Court of
Appeal of Erzurum. These provinces have been incorporated into the jurisdiction
of the newly established Regional Court of Appeal of Malatya. The jurisdictions
of the other Regional Courts of Appeal remain unchanged and continue to apply
as before.
Upon the commencement of operations of the Regional Court of Appeal of
Malatya, the jurisdiction of the provinces listed above will be transferred to
this newly established court. The Regional Court of Appeal of Malatya is
scheduled to become operational on 01.09.2026. As of September 1, 2026 onwards,
the aforementioned provinces will fall under the jurisdiction of the newly
established Regional Court of Appeal.
